Hello Again...

I’m back!!!!!

I’m sure I was missed, especially since I blogged like 4 times prior. ;) My plans are to keep this up and use it as some therapy. Life is just so busy with the baby, Ace and his million activities, tending to my needy husband (I love his neediness), work, school, and trying to have a social life…I think working on this more will give me some “Me Time” I so desperately need and deserve.

Talk to you soon

What a way to start of the week!!!

Last night was relatively an eventful Monday…Austin had a t-ball game so we where cooking dinner a little later than normal. It was about 7:30pm. I was about to pull out garlic bread from the oven. I put the oven mitt on my hand, then immediately threw it off. This is then how it went:

Me: OMG, there is something in there (while moving around the kitchen holding my finger). Mike you have to take the bread out of the oven before it burns.

Mike: (placing the “same” oven mitt on his hand, then immediately threw it off) OMG, there “is” something in there (while moving around the kitchen holding his finger)

Mike opens up the oven mitt… Crawling out of the oven mitt is a Scorpion. (nasty) He tosses it into the sink, and then kills the scorpion.

**Meanwhile Austin is in the background standing on the couch, screaming at me to not go into the garage because there could be more. Also telling me that I have already asked Mike ten times how big the scorpion is and that this is now making eleven. (Goodness…Sorry for annoying him with my repeated question, I was a little freaked out by the scorpion)

Mike then makes several phone calls to the Navy Coreman, poison control and an urgent care facility. All with the same advice… take your pregnant wife to Urgent Care to be seen. Needless to say, that is where we ended up.

Thankful…

Today I feel grateful for so many things. I am truly blessed for the life I have and everyone it. I know… completely sappy!! It is the pregnancy, right? I feel so emotional. THESE HORMONES! Here are just a few reasons why I am so thankful for the life God has handed me…

1. I am pregnant!
2. My son!! He is the sweetest and funniest little man in whole word.
3. Mike, for loving me.
4. I honestly have the best group of friends in whole world!!
5. Lynn 
6. My family at work… Seriously, I work with the best group of girls.
7. My Mother’s Strength.
8. Missi for always being understanding and never judging anyone.
9. My little brother for telling me like it is and making me realize the world does not always have to be the way I want it.
10. Pregnant Naptime… Best Naps I have ever had!!!

That is enough… I promise I will try not to be so mushy in the future.
XOXO

T-ball for Ace

We signed Ace up for t-ball...for the second time. I had to pull him out the 1st time because his asthma was not agreeing with all the outdoor pollens. Anyhow, asthma is under control and he is loving it. Mike is assisting the coach and having a blast helping out. Here are a few pictures of his 2nd practice. Please note the eye black that Mike insisted he had to have.

Poor Ace

Early this morning (around 4am) Austin came crawling into bed... "Momma, my stomach hurts" I pulled up in bed, while thinking he was doing this to sleep in my bed. Boy was I wrong!! He got sick very shortly after...five times to be exact. The end result, we stayed home from work and school today. 2 movies, 2 showers and lots of sprite later...Austin began to feel better after lunch and is now bouncing all over the house and making me crazy once more. Glad he is feeling better.

I know… This is long over-due!!
So yes, we are expecting. I am almost 13 weeks already!! We are so excited to have another addition to our family. I have to admit this pregnancy has been great. I am never sick and rarely exhausted. I feel amazing. With Austin, I do not think I was more tired than I have been. I have my next doctor appointment on 2/11. I will have some blood work done, and then I get to schedule my sonogram. Mike and Austin want the baby to be boy, I am hoping for a girl but another boy would great also. Ultimately we all want the baby to be healthy!! We also just found out that some very good friends of ours are expecting too!!! Nick and Sharon are expecting their first, she is 14 weeks along. Yvonne and Jason are expecting too! This will be Yvonne’s 2nd. She is around 15 weeks. :)

Who would of thought...

My six year-old son loves things that most kids would find scary... He loves the movie Jaws, Jurrasic Park, loves watching attacks on Animal Planet & etc. This morning we were discussing some of the rides we would make sure to go to when we head to "Mikey's Christmas Party" in Novemember. I mentioned the "It's a Small World" boat ride. This is then what happened:

Austin: No Way! NOT IT'S A SMALL WORLD!!!!
Me: Really?? Too Girly for you?
Austin: That ride freaks me out...remember when we rode that when I was three. I woke up from my nap on that ride. All the dolls were singing and dancing. That scared me.
Me: Okay, then I guess we can skip that one.

He then does a little stiff dance (almost like the robot) and starts to sing "It's a Small World".

The more I think about it... It is a little scary.
